Sound was definitely an issue the first week of lecture, but the microphone and speakers were adjusted and she spoke louder. I think the people saying this stopped attending lecture too early. She reads from slides most of lecture but will say important info not on the slides that is usually on the exams. Attend lecture and take notes.

she was a very kind professor but unfortunately this didn't translate to her teaching the content well. she speaks very softly and her accent made it very hard to hear her at times which made the lectures confusing at times, however her slides were very detailed and helpful as they covered the LOs one by one

It was very difficult to hear/understand her and it never really got better, make sure to sit at the front of the class if u wanna hear anything. Lectures weren't a great guide of what to expect for the midterm which was why half the class failed but the final was much easier

She doesn't know how to teach properly. She mumbles a lot and I can't hear a single thing she says, and if I could it wouldn't help. Even when she responds on piazza she won't give complete answers, choosing instead to "guide us" through the question, but the content of the course is so much that her guidance doesn't do anything, only confuses.

I stopped going to the lectures because I can't hear what she is saying, and even when I can she isn't very helpful and the lectures move very slowly.

I can't hear a single thing she says. I maybe understand 30% of what she's saying at any given time. I stopped going to lectures because it was such a waste of my time. I am very concerned for the final exam, as I have learned quite literally nothing and it's 50% of my grade. There are no multiple choice and all assessments are short answer.

It's pretty much impossible to hear what she's saying - and when you can hear her it's not helpful. Honestly more efficient and effective to just read the textbook (although even that is pretty poor quality). The class itself is also kind of unreasonably hard because marking is super picky.

Don't take this prof if you have any kind of hearing problem or processing disorder. I'm sure shes a great person, but she wears a mask and has a heavy Hispanic accent, making it very hard to hear her. In addition, the material is incredibly dry, which is not remedied by her 50 minutes straight of talking and switching through slides.

Great prof. Explained all concepts very VERY clearly, and taught the course by the learning objectives to the T. Answers questions with delight, and fully cares about your learning. She does have an accent, but it's not something that would inhibit your ability to learn. 10/10!

She is very nice and caring, but her accent was definitely distracting. She stammers a lot during the lecture, and sometimes, I could not understand what she is saying due to the same issue. Watching lecture took longer time than normally it should.

Nelly was a good choice for Bio 200. Her no-nonsense teaching style worked well for the material, and kept the class moving so we got through all important topics. She has a heavy accent, but spoke slowly so there was no trouble understanding her. The exams are notoriously hard, but Nelly did her best to help us succeed.

She has a really thick accent which makes it hard to understand what she's saying, however, you'll get used to it. Lectures aren't content-heavy but she'll incorporate helpful practice questions and worksheets. The course is hard in general; the tests are all written questions and an essay outline, but the profs do try to make sure you're prepared.

Nelly was a good lecturer, it's just that the course content is super boring and dry. She was caring and funny, with the occasional side comment/joke that was super savage. If you don't show up to lectures, her slides are really helpful as well.

Pretty good proff overall. Her slides are extremely good at summerizing key information, and she focuses the course towards exams a fair bit. Her accent and soft voice do make it a bit hard to concentrate sometimes though, and it would be helpful if there was less time spent on redundant information.

Dr. Pante has great lectures, and excels in summarizing the information relevant to the exam. Any complaints about her volume are directly related to the fact that the students in her classes refuse to shut up when she's lecturing. She explained things very well. For BIOL200 the textbook is online. Make sure to do the pre-readings.

Best Bio200 prof! Super kind and caring, and also taught the course material very well. Attendance is necessary, but a lot of exam type questions are hinted throughout the lecture so it is only beneficial for you in the end. Very organized and helpful as well, and this is coming from someone who struggled a lot with biology content.
