Oral as a prof is pretty nice and funny. He knows how to break down difficult concepts using familiar everyday examples and humour. However, the course itself may not be easy and enjoyable for everyone. Lots of different concepts and terminology to remember. The exam is open book, but this doesn't mean it's easy.

Never again! He has typos everywhere, acknowledges that some of the answers are wrong but asks us to go along with it anyway, contradicts himself NUMEROUS times, has unclear expectations, is unapproachable, uninterested in class material or students, and just in general does not seem to like his job or life. And is proud of his low class average.

I love Dr. Robinson! Lectures are very engaging and exams aren't too hard if you participate in the Kahoots and go to lecture. Also gives bonus activities which give you grade boosts. He is very interesting and lectures in a way that is both entertaining and informative. Definitely recommend.

Oral Robinson was a really good professor! I found his lecture slides informative and helpful, and as long as you attended his lectures and took notes, his exams were overall easy to comprehend and do. We had 4 quizzes, 2 midterms, and a final which were not difficult to do and fairly marked. He tells you what you're tested on too for each exam.

Oral is unorganized, has typos on exams, and does not take well to students who have issues with his exams, which are extremely hard to do in the short time he gives us to complete them. When marks came back for the paper, students wanted a chance to discuss them. He instead sent out two mass messages stating that the marks were fair.

Prof Robinson is a very interesting guy and kahoot is always fun. But it's hard to get high marks as it's a typical arts course. Group projects went across the whole term so it's crucial to find reliable group members.

Oral is quite unclear in his expectations of students. His quiz and test questions are written in ways that it is as though he does not want his students to succeed or get good grades. The questions are convoluted, riddled with grammatical errors, and sometimes blatantly unbacked by course materials. This class with bring down your GPA.

3 discussion posts, 2 midterms and a final. Both midterms and the final were online AND open book. Therefore, the class is pretty easy. Also, the discussions have clear grading criteria and the TA and the prof give good feedback.

Prof Robinson is fabulous, he cares about the subject a lot and is very knowledgeable. His humour also always lightens what is not always a light subject.

Honestly, Prof. Robinson was one of the best profs I've had during my time at UBC. I'm not a huge fan of the group work aspect as some of us simply work better alone and groups tend to hinder us more than anything, but the content was understandable and the prof fun.

Oral is so amazing and charismatic. You can tell he is very passionate about this course and very knowledgeable about the concepts. There are a lot of assignments in this course, however, but they are all open book. Questions in class and kahoots are sometimes on the tests! Sometimes the wording of the questions are unclear or have grammar issues.

Funny guy but his class was whatever. Instructions were unclear and he'd be kinda condescending at times if you asked him questions in class. Luckily you don't even have to study for the final lol it's just that he'll scale it and mark other assignments harder and take off points for small stuff which is pretty annoying. I wouldn't take him again

Meh. Lots of weird group projects.. I think he made the final way too easy so then they had to grade our last assignment super harshly. He recorded and livestreamed classes so attendance wasn't required. Nice enough but I just hated the projects, but he said this is the first time they tried to implement them, maybe it'll be better in the winter?

final was full of typos. he made it so easy that you dont need to study, but then scaled everyone down so hard that it didn't even matter. lecture slides and assignment instructions were also sloppily put together, showing no care for the class. not a gpa booster at all with nitpicky grading and vague feedback; avoid this class at all costs.

Incredibly unprofessional. Forced students to talk about their "triggering moments" in groups of strangers, and then even had them present those emotionally vulnerable moments in front of the entire class for a major assignment worth 25%. Gave boring lectures that were unnecessary; no one went to class aside from the presentation.

Although he's a pretty chill guy, I felt like he kinda judged you if you asked a "dumb" question or didn't know the answer to something. The lectures slides were honestly useless becasue exams were heavily based on the textbook, so make sure you do the readings. Pro- he will randomly ask questions in class and they WILL come up on the test.

I just loved him. We only had one assignment at the end of the term and all tests were online (and yes you could give them to friends). His lectures were really really good and he was extremely funny. The content was interesting to read and he told us what to focus on for the tests making it easy to study. Plus, teaching eval gets you extra points!
