Never ever in life had service this terrible. I had to make her take the design off bc the dots were sloppy and their shellac is NOT GLOSSY. My eyebrows are uneven and thin. Worst $100 I ever spent in life. please save your time & money!

Were very uninterested in the whole process. It took me 2 weeks to recover from the manicure. Asked not to cut cuticles but did any way and cut me. did not file to style wanted and tried to convince me that was what I wanted.Manicure

Loved my nails and how they were done. They lasted a very long time and a lot of people complimented me on them. The service was amazing and everyone was really nice and friendly. I have been going here for 6 months now and it’s the only place I go to now! Love it! Definitely recommend it to anyone who needs their nails done for a great price!

Came here on Saturday morning for my pedicure which I actually booked through Groupon’s BeautyNow feature. The women here were so helpful and nice they were celebrating their Chinese New year so they were all dressed up and cute. This location seems to be more of a pedicure spot vs. a place I would come to get my nails done. They only have two spots for someone to get their nails done I definitely would not come without an appointment for my nails.Parking could become congested given the area it is in but I was able to snag a spot in the front. Awesome pedi will be back for sure 🙂

Yesterday my sister & I got kicked out & humiliated by the manager of this salon. We both asked for dip nails & got powdered acrylics instead. The technicians couldn’t shape our nails or apply the “powder” properly. The manager ended up taking over & cutting us both badly. She couldn’t properly shape our nails & I ended up filing mine myself in front of customers. We ran out of time & she ended up bs-ing them, leaving them dirty, uneven with powder on my cuticles, big and chunky looking. She ended up kicking us out when we refused to pay. This place should be closed down. It’s one thing to have 1 inexperienced technician, but it’s another to have 2 and the manager being the third. Super unprofessional.

I LOVE this place. You CANNOT beat the price and the value that you get. I found them when I lived in the area and I was a regular. Now I live in a different area and I still come back here to get my nails worked on. They are so well-priced. $25 for a mani/pedi!

FAQs

What are the strongest salon nails? ›

For the longest-lasting manicure, choose a gel or acrylic style. Gel nail polish is less likely to chip, and acrylic is even stronger than gel.

What are the most popular nail services currently? ›

While the salon menus are lot bigger, most offer eight leading manicure styles: basic, hard gel, Shellac (soft gel), acrylic extensions, gel extensions, dip powder (SNS), sculpted, and polygel. Both gel manicures and dip powder are beloved for their high shine and chip-resistant finish.

How do I choose a manicurist? ›

Ultimately, trust your gut feeling when selecting a nail technician – choose someone who makes you feel comfortable, listens to your concerns, and demonstrates a genuine passion for their work. Finding a good nail tech may take some time and experimentation.

What are the healthiest nails to get done? ›

Unlike acrylic nails that use liquid monomer and polymer powder, gel nails cure under UV or LED light for 30-60 seconds. One of the main reasons gel nails are considered a healthier option is their flexibility. The gel formula allows the nails to bend and move more naturally, reducing the risk of breakage and chipping.

What are the best nails that won't ruin your nails? ›

Choose soak-off gel nails instead of acrylic nails.

While gel nails can cause nail brittleness, peeling, and cracking, they're more flexible than acrylic nails. This means your own nails are less likely to crack. You'll want to ask for gel nails that soak off rather than ones that must be filed off.

What is a good tip for a manicurist? ›

Much like at restaurants and hair salons, the industry standard for tipping at the nail salon ranges around 15 to 20 percent, and it is generally recommended that if you've received extra services or specialty designs, a minimum of 20 percent is appreciated.

Are dip nails better than gel? ›

Durability.

Individuals with oily nail beds or chip-prone nails, for example, may have trouble getting a gel manicure to last for more than two weeks. If that describes you, dip powder nails are the superior option because they're built up in layers, which enhances nail strength and creates a barrier against chipping.

What type of manicure is the least damaging? ›

Overall, Dip Powder Manicures are a great way to get a healthy manicure that will protect and strengthen your nails without causing any damage. Just like any nail treatment, you do have to make sure you properly remove it to keep your nails safe and healthy – Don't pick at your manicure!

Which nails are the strongest? ›

square nails

this timeless nail shape is also one of the strongest. because it respects the full width of the nail, those who wear a square shape often notice that their nails withstand bumps and stress much better than their curved or rounded counterparts.

What type of nails are the most durable? ›

It really depends on your individual needs and preferences. If you're looking for the most durable option possible, acrylic nails are the way to go. However, if you're looking for an option that is easier to remove, dip nails may be a better choice. Gel nails are a good middle ground between the two.

What is the strongest type of fake nail? ›

One of the biggest benefits of acrylic nails is that they are very durable. They can last up to six weeks without chipping or peeling, which is much longer than natural nails. Additionally, acrylic nails are less likely to break than natural nails, so they can be a good option for people who have weak or brittle nails.
