In Tamar's class, you would wanna show up. She's very energetic and dedicated to answering any of your questions in class or by email. Very approachable and holds plenty of office hours before big assignments and exams. You'll read a lot for her class so make time for it! Grading is a bit of a gray are but her & her TAs we're pretty lenient abt it.

Tamar is excellent and she has so much passion for marketing. I really thought she gave great examples to the material. I found the course to be a lot of work, but going to Tamar's lectures really helped to keep me interested in the content and really put the material into a real-world context.

PR with Tamar felt like a very intimate, familial class. It is a smaller class, and she goes out of her way to get to know everyone. She manages to be organized while also flexible with deadlines based on how the students are feeling collectively. Listens to anything you have to say about the class or her teaching with an honest intent to improve.

Very interesting points of view, and the lectures are never dull. Tamar is extremely passionate in ethics/sustainability and I really enjoyed her section of this class. This class does not deserve a bad rep, and is actually my favourite course so far. The discussion aspect made the 8am bearable. You will not regret taking this class with Tamar.

Very knowledgeable and passionate about what she teaches. Brings lots of wisdom and industry knowledge. However, she's a tough marker and tends to go on tangents. Her exams are difficult, projects are tedious, and she doesn't give enough resources for exam prep. However, she cares about students and is accessible outside class.

I've never seen a teacher who listens this much to her students, who is passionate and committed. I 100% recommend the PR course! Some exams can be challenging, especially for exchange students, but the format is often quite fun. Grading may also be considered difficult but it's always accompanied by good feedback for improvement!

Tamar is a great person with lots of wisdom and knowledge to share. But she's a very tough marker and the course is filled with so many readings and fluff. Exams are a time crunch and a lot of questions can be very vague. She tries her best to explain but she sometimes goes off on tangents.But I applaud her effort and intent to support students.

I'm not a Marketing major. Every class she took picture of the class when we answer iclicker, she can talk for the whole class never stop while all people are sleepy. It is miserable to sit there for 1.5 hours. I mean, indeed she's professional but her harsh exams is just not for non-marketing students.

Tamar truly cares for her students. It is clear through her lectures that she is passionate about teaching and marketing. Although the lectures are not the most thrilling, Tamar tries her best to keep them upbeat and entertaining. She is very supportive and gives great life advice. While I absolutely hated Comm186, Tamar still managed make it as interesting as it could be. Although she can come across as preachy, she is super passionate about her lecture topics and it makes her section of the course by far the most interesting. Overall solid prof.

Tamar was definitely one of the better professors I have had at Sauder. Really engaging and leads great class discussions. Make notes off of the assigned readings in the textbook and you'll be fine. Mid-term and final were fair. There's a tedious group project, but having a good group can ease this process by a lot. Definitely take 296 with Tamar!

Tamar is an amazing choice for 296. Her lectures are engaging and you can tell she is super passionate about marketing. She also cares a lot for all of her students and makes sure that all concepts are clear before moving on. She also grades quite fairly and makes sure you know where to improve. One of the best profs I've had in Sauder so far!!
