Mrs. Harris is awesome, I loved her class. That being said, it is a difficult. Her exams are all short answer questions based off of case studies that are impossible to understand if you don't put in the work with the reading guides and textbook readings. Attendance is mandatory and that ends up counting for almost 20% of the final grade.

Mrs. Harris was the best! Exams are rather frequent and they're all written response on paper, but go to lecture and do the note guides and you'll be perfectly fine. She's very caring and sweet, and she'll clarify anything you need during lecture/office hours. The course itself is not that difficult, and the material is very interesting. Take her!

She wasn't bad. Weekly pre-class activity and chapter quizzes, Access Pearson is used almost every day and her tests have a lot of application questions. Her lectures weren't bad, she didn't make you feel bad for not knowing something. Final project on a genetic disorder due at the end of the semester. Overall, I would recommend.

Ms. Harris is overall not terrible. It may take you a few weeks to get used to her teaching style and grading criteria as she is kind of a tough grader. Do the learning guides and use the case studies in the book and you will be very prepared for her exams. Go to class as she does in class things that count for a big portion of your grade.

The class is textbook and lecture-heavy but she provides the PowerPoints and a reading guide so it is very clear what she expects you to remember for the tests. Scheduled multiple review sessions for every test. It is clear Professor Harris wants you to succeed and if you do the work you can easily get a good grade. Expect frequent free writes

Biology 1 - Overall a solid professor, the work stays consistent with pre-class activities and chapter quizzes that happen every week, no pop quizzes, very nice professor, her tests are pretty hard and make you study a lot of the minor details. The tests are 40% and the final is 10%, there is also a final project/poster about researching a disease.

The class itself is relatively simple. You have to put in the work, but you can get an A. Make sure you pay attention in class, you have to answer questions in class that end up being a large portion of your grade. As far as Mrs. Harris is concerned, she is willing to work you and has solid lectures. Take her if you want to learn.

The course content is not very hard. There is not a lot of homework but attendance is mandatory and is taken by learning catalytics. Her tests are doable but are sometimes confusing and her grading is subjective. You will do fine if you attend class and study the reading and note guides. Not all of the content is discussed in class.

The tests were hard and takes a bit to figure out what to study. She sometimes tests on random, small details in the notes/lecture. But you can ask her any question and she is so ready to help you understand. her PowerPoints aren't the best & should attend class. She is very caring & interactive with the class.

I absolutely loved Professor Harris. I was nervous going into this class because I didn't know what to expect. The PowerPoints in class are extremely helpful if you pay attention and engage with the material. She is a very visual teacher which I love. She was very helpful when you had questions. Go to class! It made all of the difference.

Great microbiology prof. Lecture will go by so fast because she is so engaging. She gives out plenty of google docs that help with notetaking. She is available for questions too. Even helped with a couple of lab assignments. Pay attention to what she lectures on than textbook per se. As exams are only 6 questions (50 points) 10/10 professor!!

Harris is a really good professor that cares about her students. She emails back very fast and genuinely cares about how you are doing in her class. There is a lot of content in this class but if you put in the work, you will get a good grade.

Class sessions seem to fly by without much content being taught. You'll have to read the material before classes and she briefly goes over the materials during class. Grading is fair but can be harsh if you are not specific with your explanations. Tests are mainly open responses with very few multiple-choice questions. Need to study to pass.

I loved this course with Professor Harris! The class consisted of tests, quizzes, and IC activities. The tests were 6 questions and open responses, but as the semester goes on you learn how to answer them. The quizzes were 13 questions either multiple choice or SATA. Try to go to class, she does give out info that may not be in the book or videos.

Dr. Harris is a great professor! Workload consists of weekly quizzes and in class activities, 5 module assessments and a couple projects. The tests can be tricky, consisting of 6 short answers, but as long as you study and go to class youll be fine on them! She is very understanding and knows her stuff!

I did not attend class as much as I should have, but during this semester, Professor Harris has been nothing short of professional and compassionate. The content of the class is very interesting but she is so knit picky on tests. weekly quizzes are challenging. Her tests are 6 short answer questions and she is SO picky. It feels like she takes off points arbitrarily. Shes a fine teacher you just have to get used to how she grades. Having study buddies is a key as well as taking good notes!!

I have her now during the Covid era. She is super understanding through online. I can see where she would be super tough in person. There are a few test but open note since its online no lockdown browser. Easy test. If you miss an assignment she lets you make it up. 10/10. Take her if online, but in person no.

This class was not easy, but Mrs. Harris actually made it better. Her exams were tough, but as long as you studied her powerpoints you will be fine. She is straightforward with information and loves to answer any questions you have!
